This class was designed with Mother’s Day in mind. Not just because, well, wouldn’t your mum just love a hanging basket to add some spring joy to her home? But also because Mother’s Day marks our “safe time to plant” in these parts. So come along to make a basket for your mother, or for another loved one, or yourself, or your neighbor, or your postal worker, or your favorite baker, or your favorite pollinators, or your best friend or your lover, even! Better yet, sign up for 2 classes and each take home a basket – a gift of time together and a season-long reminder of the day!
Our team will talk about the basics of hanging basket design, the considerations you will want to make and review the plants you will have to play with. We’ll be on hand to give you suggestions and help you along with the planting. You’ll leave with your finished basket as well as a care guide. We will have an array of annual flowers and foliage to help you design your own unique creation!
Our inhouse expert, Maria will be leading this fabulous class. Many of you probably already know her from her 18+ years working in this location!!
What If?
What if I want to add more than the number of plants included? We will have a select number of plants available for the class, however, you can opt to purchase any other plants we have on sale for your creation. We cannot trade out plants. The plants for this class are being selected and grown with hanging baskets in mind.
What if I already have a planter and don’t need a basket? You can bring your planter and either decide to take the basket we provide for a future home project or to give to a friend, or leave it with us, where we guarantee we will put it to good use.
What if there are 2 of us but we just want to make one basket? As long as one of you is taking the class, yes you may bring a friend or family member. We just ask that your +1 give appropriate space to those others who have paid to attend the class.
