Presented by Adam Bigelow of Bigelow’s Botanical Excursions
“Somewhere along the way, he accidentally fell in love with wildflowers.”
The wildflowers of Southern Appalachia are like hidden gems, bursting with color and life starting as early as February. From delicate Trout Lily to the sweet Yellow Lady’s Slipper, these blooms tell a quiet story of beauty and resilience in these mountains.
And who better to tell that story than one of our region’s finest? It is, of course, Adam–a fascinating story-teller with a built-in mic for your listening pleasure. Sit back and prepare to be mesmerized.
Adam Bigelow is a passionate wildflower expert (aka The Joyful Botanist) based in Southern Appalachia, where he has spent years studying and sharing the diverse flora of the region. With a deep love for the mountains and their ecosystems, he’s dedicated to preserving the natural beauty of the area while educating others about the fascinating wildflowers that thrive here.
This class will be a presentation-style session held in our Pavilion, featuring a slideshow of beautiful wildflowers to enjoy.
