We are proud to run our farm with a sustainable and ethical approach.

The Farm

Our farm sits along the Nantahala River, fed by the headwaters in the ridges just above it. Most of the land is devoted to pasture for Icelandic sheep and many breeds of chickens and other poultry, and a little more than an acre is set aside for production of historic and unique vegetables. Almost all of the produce is started from organic, un-patented seed in our glasshouse, and is raised, like the livestock, with a sustainable and ethical approach.
